KJH has its very own pottery, pay a visit to our retail store and you can paint a pot (or

indeed a plate, mermaid, fairy or motorbike!) 

Pottery painting is a great hobby and its suitable for almost all ages

and abilities. Children love our fire engines, cats and dinosaurs, whilst

the adults can design their own teapot, vase or platter.

In our workshop we handcast liquid slip into heavy plaster moulds, once turned out these items are dried, fettled and fired in our kiln to achieve a quality white ceramic called bisque.  This bisque is then available to you in our store to paint with your own design using quality lead free underglaze paints (which are child safe and washable) the piece will then be glazed ready for collection in about a week - You can also choose to take our pieces home to decorate with decoupage,

paint effects, glitters or stains - use your imagination...  

We run Pottery Painting Parties (even at your own home) together with

painting workshops and also produce bespoke pieces which can be

personalised for you - celebration plates, mugs, money boxes - our
